"American companies collect and report information about their workforces to the federal government each year in a form called the EEO-1. The EEO-1 is a standard form which breaks down race, ethnicity and gender of workforces by job classification... "I hope everyone eventually shares their EEO-1s," Hudnell said. "If we are going to commit as an industry to drive improvement in a collective fashion, we cannot do it with inconsistent data." Stanford fellow Vivek Wadhwa says Apple and Amazon have a responsibility to the public to be more "publicly accountable for diversity."
